Jalaluddin Rumi: The Fountain Of Fire

Rumi’s work needs no introduction. His words need not to be praised, every single bit speaks for itself. While in pian, misery, despair or plain looking for hope rumi has it all.  With so much going in,out and around us , I choose to take a break and refresh myself with the overwhelming work of Rumi. Not only that I will make it a point to blog one peice of literature, poetry or art that inspires me. A well deserved break we all need ..lets dip oursleves into the mesmerising world of spirituality! *cheers*

if you pass your night
and merge it with dawn
for the sake of heart
what do you think will happen

if the entire world
is covered with the blossoms
you have labored to plant
what do you think will happen

if the elixir of life
that has been hidden in the dark
fills the desert and towns
what do you think will happen

if because of
your generosity and love
a few humans find their lives
what do you think will happen

if you pour an entire jar
filled with joyous wine
on the head of those already drunk
what do you think will happen

go my friend
bestow your love
even on your enemies
if you touch their hearts
what do you think will happen

  1. The translation is good but is just no match to the original content. The depth, the rhymes, the meanings, everything in its original form just feels so good to read… (Y). This is a nice share
