I had the opportunity to speak at the Global Voices Citizen Media Summit in May 2010, in Santiago Chile. I spoke on behalf of citizen media in Pakistan, talking about the role of citizen media. I was on the panel with bloggers from Srilanka, Russia and China. The GV summit was an amazing experience, four days of extremely interesting sessions on various aspects of ICT. Including role of ICT in times of elections, crisis and  activism during crackdown. The most exciting part of the entire summit was having to meet so many citizen journalists from all over the world. It was fun, exciting  and I can not wait to be apart of the next GV summit 2012.

Here is a video from the discussion, thanks to Awab Alvi (Teeth Maestro) for this, read Awab’s post here

PS: This was 5 hours after a 21 hour long flight so please overlook the little haphazardness in the beginning
